We are the families and care partners of our loved one who is living with severe, intractable pain. Our family members suffer from diseases that cause disabling, long-term 24/7 Intractable Pain. This kind of pain doesn’t respond well, if at all, to the standard pain therapies that are used with success in most chronic pain patients. Most of our family members also have genetic metabolic anomalies in medication metabolism, and have had adverse and unusual reactions to many commonly used medications.
One thing is common to all of us: our loved ones have such painful, disabling conditions that they often need family members for assistance in daily life. We accompany them to their medical appointments to ensure compliance, and help with activities of daily living.
Our family members desperately need access to Intractable Pain Care and qualified physicians who will provide their specialized treatments in every community.
